The teamThis role sits within the Targeted Merchant Growth Squad within the Merchants Village. This team is accountable for driving growth in the Merchant Acquiring portfolio, by developing and bringing to market targeted industry, segment and vertical product propositions across the groups acquiring brands.
The RoleThis role fulfils the primary function of developing out industry solutions for small business merchants in high growth areas. It involves early-stage product partnership initiatives and 'proof of concept' ideation for new capabilities.
- New opportunity development including identification of high growth industries, development of business cases, product and feature development to target key industry verticals and segments.
- Be the voice of the customer and ensure that their needs are being met through the development process.
- Partner with key stakeholders across Westpac on initiatives and campaigns to support growth, as well as looking for opportunities to expand our industry vertical solutions.
- This role will also be involved assessing suitable partnerships with third parties to add further value to our industry solution propositions.
- You will work closely with project teams to translate initiatives into proposition development and go to market execution
- Managing embedded Financial Control and Operational Risk within compliance and responsible risk parameters.
About youWe are looking for a talented person who demonstrates:
- 2 + years experience within banking/finance or a consulting background.
- Strategic thinker, ability to analyse critically.
- Self-starter, ability to prioritise multiple initiatives.
- Experienced in strategy development, solutions driven.
- Numerical and analytical thinking and functioning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong presentation skills
- Ability to build and foster relationships with external stakeholders.
- Excellent commerciality.
