Alimentari is looking for a Head Chef to lead the team at their Collingwood location.
Alimentari prides itself on excellent customer service across both Breakfast and Lunch sittings. The role of the Head Chef is key in the business and will be responsible for maintaining high-quality customer experiences, managing budgets, supervising kitchen employees, and working closely with the venue owners to ensure continued growth and development.
The Role:
Managing a motivated team of professionals
Must have experience in Meditteranean cuisine specializing in seafood and vegan dishes
Experience in traditional, authentic BBQ, smoking methods
Minimum 3 years in a similar position
Overseeing an extremely busy operation
Effective and efficient running of the kitchen in line with company standards
Develop and implement menu items
Develop food costings and work within budget constraints
Develop, motivate and inspire the existing kitchen team
The Ideal Candidate:
At least 3 years of experience is required in relevant cuisine in a commercial kitchen
Diploma or equivalent in Commercial Cookery/Hospitality
Strong leader who is driven and motivated
Leader by example - be in the thick of it with your team and show them how it's done
Calm and collected - Our venue is fast-paced. The successful candidate should be able to handle this pressure and pace with calm and poise.
