The Brandon Hotel is a warm and welcoming neighbourhood pub, located in Carlton North. We pride ourselves on offering a traditional pub menu along with a quality selection of weekly specials.
We are seeking a Sous Chef to join our team. The role is 4 days a week, including weekends, in a fulltime position.
Wages are negotiable for the right candidate.
This role offers you the opportunity to work in a small, friendly team across all sections of the kitchen with the prospect for future promotion.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the head chef
- Running of the kitchen during quieter shifts
- Assisting in menu design and creating weekly specials
- Communicating clearly with other members of the team
- Being able to work well under pressure
- Maintaining the required health and safety practices
- Ensuring quality and consistency in everything produced
Experience & Qualifications:
- Cert 3 or 4 in commercial cookery
- Experience in a similar role and environment
