We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef for this busy venue in remote Queensland.
This role would suit an experienced Chef with excellent bistro knowledge and a passion for great food with the ability to support the Head Chef as well as train and mentor junior staff.
The venue has gaming machines, busy public bar, restaurant and detached bottleshop.
Despite the distance from other major cities, this vibrant and sustainable coastal community offers most of the facilities and conveniences of modern living. Fulltime Position:
(Includes annual leave, sick leave etc)
- Monday-Friday-$28.57 ($31.09 after 7pm)
- Saturday-$35.71
- Sunday: $42.86
- Public Holiday: $64.28
- + Overtime rates after 38 hours per week
- Accommodation $70.00 per week
- Own room with own bathroom
- General kitchen prep and cooking of bistro meals
- Working with 3-4 other chefs
- Support the Head Chef
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Split shifts may be required
- Mainly covering lunch / dinner shifts
- Work as part of a team
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness
- Qualified Chef
- Ideally have previous remote area experience
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Enjoy remote area living
- There are around 20-30 staff live and work on site
- Access via daily flights
- Telstra Mobile and Internet coverage is available
