The Wallace Bishop Group is a family-owned jewellery and time piece retailer with a national presence that has been trading for over 100 years. The Group is made up of two retail brands plus a service and manufacturing workshop.
We are looking for a candidate to lead the operations of the Spare Parts department at our Head Office in Newstead. You will responsible for ensuring that repairs and restorations are delivered accordingly and guide the team to achieve established targets and overall business objectives.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensure effective Spare Parts purchasing planning, synchronizing all Spare Parts needs to repairs to provide high quality service level to the Retail Network.
- Optimize the in house stock as well as periodically inventory controls.
- Managing your own and the teams workflow (adherence to due dates, quality of delivered works, pro-actively providing solutions to blocking points and workflows).
- Creating purchase orders and accepting deliveries from suppliers, reporting promptly on variances.
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Minimum 3 year previous experience in a retail, administrative or retail warehouse environment
- Knowledge/interest in watch repair
- Be eager to work in a high-volume environment and are driven by hitting your KPI's
- A high level of accuracy
- To be active, always on your feet and ready
- An ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work outside non-traditional business hours, Monday to Friday (i.e. weekends, late nights and holidays).
