Altrad are offering on-going work within our Kwinana and AMC Henderson Fabrication Facilities, the position of Special Class Welder will see you gain considerable insight into major fabrication operations. - Location – Kwinana Beach or AMC Henderson
- Project description – Ongoing full-time work in our heavy structural fabrication workshop.
- Work hours - Monday – Friday 10hr days, occasional weekends and overtime when required.
- Rates – $39 + penalties after 36hrs, hourly tool and welding allowance. Pay increase + Attendance allowance after 3 months employment.
About you
- Minimum 2 years post trade experience within a workshop environment
- Good knowledge and understanding of welding procedure specification.
- Ability to weld in all position and competent with GTAW, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW
- Ability to perform welding in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion.
- Ability to perform arc-air gouging operations as required.
- Hold the following Nationally Accredited Qualifications:
- OHS Card (White/Blue Card)
- Working at Heights (within 3 years)
- Confined Space Entry (within 3 years)
- Ability to pass a project specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
