This is a great opportunity to join a highly regarded Government department. This is a sizeable unit divided into teams by specialist area. They boast a large team of experienced lawyers that represent Queensland Government across a broad range of matters.
Sitting in the Property Law team, you will be part of a substantial practice. This department is relied upon by the State of Queensland to advise on, negotiate and draft major project agreements, property dealings by the government, and infrastructure agreements.
About You
You will be either an established Senior Associate looking to step up or currently a Special Counsel, with a strong background in general commercial property matters.
In your capacity as Special Counsel, you will provide expert authoritative advice to external clients and staff members.
Key experience required for the role is:
- Exposure to government legal work
- Commercial law
- Property law
- Projects
- Infrastructure
- Tendering and procurement
- Charities and trusts
You will have a minimum of 12 years post admission experience to take on the Special Counsel role. However, those with less post admission experience are encouraged to apply for a secondary role as a Senior Lawyer, which is also available on the team.
