The Opportunity
Alstom's well regarded Metronet project, based in Bellevue is excited to share a newly created Special Process Manager role into the team. As the Special Process Manager, you will lead and coordinate the industrial control of the Special Processes on the site, being welding, crimping, bonding/gluing, and torquing and apply your expertise from just one of these domains.
We are looking for someone with the technical knowledge and master of one of these processes only, so you can continue to use your tools of the trade, whilst holding the leadership role. This is an opportunity to take your skillset to the next level and take on a leadership role, for a global leader in the rail manufacturing industry.
About the role - you will;
- Lead the Special Process team in the delivery of activities, performance and KPI's whilst still performing physical outputs within successful individual's specialism as required
- Conduct audits and inspections in relation to Special Processes and deploy rules and resources as required in accordance with internal global standards and site requirements
- Define requirements and rules for associated tooling necessary to start and support production
- Support functional teams in the qualification and development of local suppliers
- Guarantee internal control and application of process rules in line with requirements through coaching and training of staff in the execution of Special Processes
- Investigate and manage nonconformities, issues or incidents and implement repair solutions and mitigation strategies where possible
About you - we are looking for;
- A relevant qualification in either process engineering, chemical, electronics, electrical, industrial or mechanical
- Experience within the Manufacturing industry and the execution, definition and qualification of a Special Process
- High technical knowledge of Manufacturing engineering, writing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing.
- Ability to lead others through coaching and communication
