SANBRADO GOLD OPERATION
The Company owns and operates the Sanbrado Gold Operation (Sanbrado). Sanbrado is located about 90km east-southeast of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso and encompasses both underground and open pit mining operations.
The long-term economics are robust, with a current average annual production profile over the 10 year mine life of over 200,000 ounces of gold.
KIAKA PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
The Company acquired the Kiaka Gold Project (Kiaka) in 2021. Kiaka is large-scale, permitted development project and hosts 7.7Moz gold Mineral Resource (280Mt at 0.9 g/t Au). Kiaka has a long-life, low-cost project averaging 219,000ozpa for 18.5 years at AISC of US$1,052/oz.
Construction at Kiaka is well underway, including the EPCM packages of work, and camp, infrastructure, civil and community projects. First gold is schedule for 2025.
THE ROLE
We are seeking a processing professional who has significant operational experience, technical knowledge and desire to share their knowledge and developing the skills and professional capabilities of their team.
Functions and accountabilities will include;
- Manage and lead the effective and safe operation of the processing plant including metallurgical services and associated infrastructure.
- Manage plant availability and performance to achieve operational and cost targets.
- Overall accountability for safety, personnel, environmental, metallurgical and plant performance.
- Management of processing and infrastructure related supply and service contracts.
- Initiate and manage capital projects.
- Manage process related reporting and reliability systems.
- Tailings storage facility management.
- Processing risk register and risk reduction programs.
Applications are sought from senior Process Engineering professionals how have the following qualifications, skills and experience;
- Tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Process Engineering or Chemical Engineering, which is supported by recent employment history managing gold processing plants and infrastructure.
- A demonstrated employment history working as part of successful processing operations in which production, reliability, metallurgy testing, cost targets and safe working practices are achieved.
- The ability to perform and deliver high professional and technical standards.
- A well planned and executed strategy which supports training and development of skills to build a high performing team.
- A strong understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards in the mining industry.
- TSF management, including understanding and application of Global Industry Standard on Tailings Management.
- A genuine commitment to the promotion of a safe working culture and practices.
- Management of processing contracts and contractors.
- Oversee the planning and completion of projects.
