About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist to join and support our Exploration teams.
In this role, you will provide specialist-planning input and execution internal support to the Exploration Excellence and Innovation, HSSE, Governance and Risk and Commercial teams, for contractor management and Cost Control activities.
Your key responsibilities as a Specialist Contract Management & Cost Control will include:
• Ensure purchase requisitions are compliant and processed efficiently.
• Coordinate with supply function to expedite purchase orders and resolve outstanding approvals.
• Review and facilitate timely submission of service entry sheets and invoices.
• Identify vendors for review and work with supply to explore alternative options.
• Maintain accurate project cost data in the portfolio management system.
• Quality check commercial opportunities and enable timely updates to cost, schedule, and budget.
• Provide support for accruals and training to project owners on relevant reporting.
• Ensure compliance with contractor management standards across all activities.
• Manage vendor master data requests and onboard new vendors.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be able to demonstrate:
• Degree qualified in or equivalent experience in business planning/administration, industrial engineering, or related discipline.
• 5 years of experience in business planning/administration, finance, management control, or contracts management roles, or related fields
• Teamwork oriented
• Experience with SAP and strong Microsoft Excell knowledge.
• Analytical and communication skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
• Ability to influence and engage internal & external stakeholders to collaborate and drive effective outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to share and promote a common vision aligned with Charter Values
• Experience with multicultural teams.
• Experiences with visualisation tools or similar methods to present data in a meaningful way.
Location
This is a Toronto or London based role, offering a permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday, reporting to the Manager Governance and Risk.
