The Clinical Support Services at the Proserpine Hospital is seeking applications for a Speech Pathologist to join their team on a temporary full time basis.

Your opportunity
- To work as a member of a multidisciplinary allied health team, delivering clinical services to clients in the Whitsunday Health Service, covering a range of clinical conditions, complexity, and age groups.
- The position reports operationally to the Director of Nursing and professionally to the Director of Speech Pathology at Mackay Base Hospital.
- The team provide clinical care in person and via tele-heath and outreach throughout the Whitsunday region at both the Proserpine Hospital and the Whitsunday Community Health Centre.
About the Team
Our Speech Pathology Service delivers care to patients, both children and adults, throughout our hospital departments as well as in outpatient, community and rural settings. Our Speech Pathologists provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management to children and adults needing help with communication and/or swallowing.
The Whitsunday Health Service is made up of two facilities, The Community Health Campus – Cannonvale and the Hospital Campus – Proserpine. The hospital is a 35-bed acute hospital which offers a number of specialty inpatient and outpatient services. The Community Health Campus offers a range of community health services provided by a multi-disciplinary team. The Whitsunday Heath Service covers the Whitsunday Regional Shire, Midge Point and Bloomsbury.
