About Us
Flying Start Children’s Therapy was established in 2019, with a vision to support children and their families in the community on the Surf Coast and Geelong region. We pride ourselves on offering a range of innovative, fun, family centred and outcome focused services for children and their families.
Flying Start Children’s Therapy is a child safe, NDIS registered multidisciplinary team who promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.
Our mission is to provide children and families with high quality professional services that support their ongoing development and enables them to be the best they can be.
The Opportunity
We are offering a new graduate program for Speech Pathologists commencing in 2024, with the opportunity to learn in a fun and supportive setting with experienced mentors with over 16 years in the field. There may be opportunity to commence in 2023 prior to graduation as an Allied Health Assistant if you desire.
The Role
The Speech Pathologist will provide early intervention and therapeutic support to children eligible under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to support parents to improve their children’s educational and developmental outcomes, community connectedness and social inclusion. Services are also offered to private paying families and those under Medicare Plans.
This position will work closely with families to support their goals, with the aim to enhance the home learning environment for young children and support the development of positive relationship between parents/carers and their children as well as support inclusion in the wider community.
New graduates will be supported with regular supervision, generous training and professional development budgets and a caseload that increases over time, allowing the speech therapist to build confidence and skills as they also build their caseload.

Requirements
· Degree in Speech Pathology or working towards
· Current registration through Speech Pathology Australia, upon qualification
· Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
· Current Victorian Drivers license.
Upon appointment we will assist you to obtain
· Current NDIS Worker Screening check.
· Current First Aid (including anaphylaxis, asthma, CPR)
