ABOUT THE ROLE
The Brain Injury Unit is part of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service based at Ryde and part of the broader Royal Rehab Group. The driving philosophy of care is that of person centeredness. Client programs are goal directed & involve multiple service delivery models including individual therapy & group therapy.

Working with a close-knit multidisciplinary team to achieve client goals, with support from a dynamic speech pathology team.

ABOUT YOU
We seek a key member of the multidisciplinary team, working alongside the senior Speech Pathologist. You will provide high quality evidence-based Speech Pathology (SP) interventions to clients in line with the model of service delivery. The position is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation & evaluation of SP intervention of clients with acquired communication and/or swallowing disorders admitted to the Brain Injury Unit.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Degree in Speech Pathology & eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia
Experience in working within a rehabilitation framework & a multidisciplinary team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice
A high standard of time management, flexibility, and self-organisation skills
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
Post graduate experience working with adults with traumatic Brain Injury in an inpatient rehab setting
Current LSVT &/or SPEAKOUT! training
Experience in student supervision
