We are searching for a passionate and highly motivated Speech Pathologist to join our flourishing team.
Flourish Allied Health Services is predominantly a paediatric clinic with a small adult caseload. We strive to have a positive focus on inclusion and participation, so each of our clients may participate in whatever activities they choose. Our clinic is located in Maclean; however, we also provide supports in naturalistic settings (such as homes, schools or even the local wharf).
The successful applicant will be provided with a diverse caseload with opportunity to foster special interest areas over time.

Who we are looking for:-
We are looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic allied health team, who would welcome the opportunity to escape from the city and join us in the beautiful Lower Clarence Valley, Maclean NSW.
Location: Maclean is around an hour drive south of Byron Bay, only a 22-minute drive to Yamba with its epic beaches, waves (for you surfers) and fabulous cafes, Iluka with its heritage listed rainforest is only a short 30-minute drive away and it is just over a 2-hour drive to the Gold Coast. We have a community that embraces new people and with home prices that are still affordable it is a lovely area in which to start or raise a family and if you are single there is plenty of opportunity to meet new friends and socialise.
Your new role gives you: -
- Permanent full-time hours (part-time hours will also be considered)

- Caseload consisting of NDIS and privately funded clients, in our clinic, community and school visits.

What you will need to succeed in the role
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Full registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
- Either come with an extensive amount of experience or be willing to develop therapeutic skills on the job with structured mentoring
- An understanding of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and experience working within the framework
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team & individually.
- Excellent communication skills and effective organisation/ time management skills.
- Sound computer skills
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current driver’s licence
- COVID Vaccination and Flu Shots
- First Aid Certificate
- New graduates with relevant placement experience may be considered.
Your duties will include:
- Providing speech pathology assessment and intervention to adult and paediatric clients.
- Regularly evaluating client progress and outcomes, using relevant measures
- Working as part of a team and independently. This will include contributing to multidisciplinary plans and reports.
- Participate in regular (administrative and clinical) supervision.
- Opportunity to develop and facilitate small groups addressing a range of functional skills.
Days, hours and start date are flexible, with immediate start preferred.
