The Role
Abbotsleigh is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate full-time Sports Coordinator to join our Cocurricular Sports Department in March 2024. The successful candidate will be a sports coordinator who is highly motivated to support Abbotsleigh to maintain and develop a love of sport and team spirit to inspire, engage and value every girl.
The Duties
Abbotsleigh seeks to employ a Sports Coordinator to assist the Head of Sports in overseeing the organisation and administration of all sports within the Senior School (Years 7-12) and enhance students’ participation and performance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential and previous sports management experience within a secondary or tertiary education setting will be highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience or interest in several sports, including driving participation and performance
- Highly effective written and spoken communication skills
- Sound time management and organisation skills
- Excellent administration skills and an eye for detail
- High level of computing skills, including a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Well-developed skills in working with a team
- An enthusiastic approach to work and sport and motivated to succeed
- Model a keen understanding of the need for respect and appreciation of young people and their active and enjoyable participation in sport
- Experience with Duke of Edinburgh will also be highly regarded
