A unique and iconic venue, “The Skiff” is the idyllic year-round setting for private overwater events, from Weddings and Christmas parties to Birthdays, Reunions and all things celebratory.
Nestled on the foreshore of Manly Cove, our function venue offers spectacular harbour views, exceptional cuisine, and a warmth of hospitality. Our ‘floating’ event Space, The Harbour View Room, flows onto The Atrium – our exclusive covered deck, with both spaces accommodating up to 80 guests for a seated dining event, and 120 guests for a stand-up cocktail style affair.
We are currently seeking a passionate a full-time Events Coordinator with at least 3 years of previous experience in the role or similar.

You will be a personable, bubbly person that brings the highest of standards of customer service. You love to go above and beyond to impress your prospective clients and can help them envision their perfect event at our picturesque venue. Your attention to detail and organisational skills will convert your leads into sales. You will also possess a current RSA or be open to obtaining the license.
The role
The Event Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club’s financial and operational targets by taking accountability for the planning and delivery of all functions and events held at the Club and ensuring end to end communication from first point of contact to commencement of the event. - Taking all inbound event inquiries and converting them into sales
- Up-sell the Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club products and services to clients, identifying all opportunities to increase sales income.
- Event styling and on the day coordination
- Meet sales KPI’s on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Coordinating all event requirements and communicating to the kitchen, operations team and management.
- Complying financial results through Function Tracker CRM
- Reporting on monthly and weekly results and understanding key ways of driving sales through quieter periods.
- Ensure customer needs are well understood prior to recommending any menu structure or function ideas.
- Meet with new clients and provide recommendations based off experience.
- Oversee and manage conferences including making coffee’s, creating run sheets and designing floorplans.
- Ordering and maintenance of event supplies,
- Managing and maintaining all event coordination including occasional weekend work for large club run events.
