About The Role
As a Database Administrator and Integration Specialist, you will be using your strong expertise and experience as a DBA to optimise database performance, streamline data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow across system.
You will be improving data accessibility, security and accuracy whilst minimising downtime and increasing efficiency in the team. You will be responsible for implementing effective database management strategies, establishing robust integration frameworks, and proactively addressing data-related challenges, contribute to the success of the the client and enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting scalable growth.
About you
You will ideally have experience working in the healthcare space in Victoria. However it is not essential and your attitude and willingness to learn is really what the client is looking for.
Other responsibilities include:
- Strong ETL and API Integrations experience
- SQL Server experience
- Experience with data integration tools such as HL7, InterSystems IRIS, or MuleSoft would be essential
- Relevant database and data structures experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and communication skills.
- Extremely strong problem solving skills and ability to adapt, as well as being able to adapt the big picture and analyse what is most important for the client to ensure the team is efficient
- Strong Agile experience
- Government experience
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security principles
- Experience with data warehousing concepts
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
- Knowledge of Vic Health Regulation and Knowledge of Vic Records Management Act
