Team
Network Engineers are responsible for the design, administration and troubleshooting of global network infrastructures in a fast paced, latency-sensitive environment. This has seen them evolve their systems and embrace automation and create agile, scalable systems. The team provides the backbone infrastructure that connects to every trading exchange in APAC. This is a highly complex, always changing environment that requires innovative solutions on a daily basis.
Role:
We’re looking for a passionate networking geek that loves to make things go faster and naturally automates with bespoke python solutions. The team already has a good development capability so you can rely on supportive, technically astute colleagues to help troubleshoot issue and drive innovation. The role will give you a lot of autonomy and a wide scope to improve the technology stack at every turn. You will not find a more competent team of engineers to work with in Australia or a better remunerated engineering role.
Requirements:
- Exp. with Cisco and/or Arista (Routing, L3 and L2 switching).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MSDP, PIM (SM and DM) protocols
- Strong OOP / Development skills with any/all: C++, Python, Java.
- Exp. firewalling (FWSM, PIX and ASA) and VPN (Site-to-Site IPSec).
- Strong knowledge troubleshooting Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues.
- Exp. provisioning & maintenance of Coarse / Dense Wave Division Multiplexing (C/DWDM).
- Experience setting up colocation and working with colocation providers.
- Industry relevant Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree w/NW Certifications.
- A history of good tenure in your career & an industry relevant degree or diploma.
- A passion for technology, collaborative mindset, an Innovator.
- Experience within Financial Markets / Trading Systems environments (ideal).
