We're looking for an experienced and driven individual to join our Facilities team. If you are ambitious, hands-on, and looking for a role where you can grow and develop then this role may be for you. This full-time permanent position will have exposure to our four Racecourses.
DAY TO DAY, THE ROLE WILL:
- Maintain and update stable and training asset register lists, service schedules, service manuals, plant and building drawings.
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of planned maintenance schedules for the stabling facilities at our venues.
- Coordinate contractors to deliver scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to ensure that the work and objectives of the Stable Facilities teams align with the ATC strategic and capital management plans.
- Develop skills and optimise training to maximise potential and increase productivity and competencies within the ATC stables and trades team.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required.
To be successful in the role, the right fit will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of Facilities Management Services or delivery of Capital Projects including managing documentation requirements, negotiating, and managing contractors;
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and the capacity to liaise with people at all levels;
- Multi- disciplined knowledge and understanding of relevant building codes of practice, Australian Standards and acceptable levels of workmanship
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health & Safety regulations and sound knowledge of safe work practices and accident prevention
- Experience in managing and motivating staff to achieve outcomes within deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills and customer service ethic
- Strong understanding of Work, Health and Safety procedures, hazard reduction and risk management strategies
- Strong budgeting and financial management including contract tendering skills
