About the Role
The Staff Development and Recruitment Coordinator provides training, clinical support, supervision and assists with the coordination of the day to day operations of the Pre Analytical Services Department. The Coordinator is accountable for recruitment, training and maintaining staff competency to ensure the efficient workflow of the Department where St. Vincent’s Pathology Policies and Procedures are fully complied with.
Ensure that St Vincent’s Pathology Pre Analytical staff are recruited, trained and competent in accordance with all SVHM, St Vincent’s Pathology and Pre Analytical Services Policies and Procedures
Work with a diverse range of students with varying learning requirements
Meet program timeframes for assessments
Manage staff within the following workgroups: Patient Services, Specimen Reception, Data Entry and Call Centre.
Ensure all Pre Analytical Services Department workgroups performances are relative to objectives
Ensure all staff are competent to ensure service delivery
All Pre Analytical Services areas operate within the designated operational timeframes with appropriately competent staff
The classification for this position is Pathology Collector Grade 4 IN27 ($69,747 per annum).
Your Contribution
Victorian Certificate of Education (or equivalent) or a Certificate awarded by TAFE or an Associate Diploma by TAFE and a minimum of 5 years experience as a pathology collector
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About St Vincent’s Pathology
St Vincent’s Pathology is a private practice offering diagnostic testing to both inpatients of St Vincent’s Private Hospitals located in Fitzroy, East Melbourne and Kew, St Vincent’s Public Hospital Fitzroy as well as servicing privately referred patients in up to 80 Pathology Collection centres located across Metropolitan Melbourne.
