Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.

This Staff Development Nurse is responsible for education and training in relation to clinical practices and as part of the multidisciplinary team plans, implements and evaluates orientation, education and training at the ward or unit level. The position facilitates and promotes patient safety and quality of care and works collaboratively to ensure service is delivered in accordance with health service policy and standards. The Staff Development Nurse practices within their scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.

Eligibility

Are you eligible? To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

This is a Permanent Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
