This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time,  Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/03/2025.

We currently have 1 FTE (Full Time Equivalent) position available working 76 hours per fortnight. Job Share arrangements may be considered.

About this role

Under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s) practises as a Staff Development Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart. Ongoing assessment of the knowledge and skills of nursing staff in designated ward/unit. Planning and implementation of education and training programs and participation in the planning and implementation of hospital wide Staff Development programs. Provision of support for new staff, including orientation, coaching and preceptorship. Provides clinical knowledge and expertise within the clinical areas. Upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation and nursing values of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity.

This role reports to the Nurse Manager.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
