As a member of the Chief Technology Office (CTO), you will contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation. We provide platform capabilities such as Private/Public cloud host, CI/CD, ServiceNow Platform including Service Management and Observability tooling that is leveraged across all Business Unit Platforms within the Bank to deliver industry-leading software including: CommBank App, Netbank, CommSec, CommBiz and Commbank.com.au.

Our ServiceNow team are responsible for the build and maintenance of enterprise scale ServiceNow Platform serving multiple capabilities across the bank including ITSM/ITOM, IRM, SecOps, and Employee workflow modules.
As a Staff Systems Engineer for IRM module you will:
Play a crucial role in designing Controls, Risk and Compliance processes across the Enterprise. The responsibility spans technical and strategic aspects requiring in-depth knowledge of IRM, Risk principles and ServiceNow Functionality
Work closely with Enterprise Risk Team, ServiceNow Platform Team and other stakeholders associated with the processes starting from Requirements Gathering, translating the requirements to Technical Solutions, and addressing stakeholder concerns.
Support in translating Business requirements to User Stories with Acceptance Criteria
Conduct discovery workshops for gap assessment and advocate on IRM best practices and Design Principles
Help define Strategy and Roadmap based on the Current implementation of IRM.

Experienced in architecting, designing, developing and supporting enterprise scale ServiceNow implementations.
Translating requirements into technical designs, aligning with ServiceNow platform capabilities and best practices.
Establishing controls for the technical team to align on standard processes and drive towards successful product releases.
Experienced in ServiceNow modules with a specialisation in IRM module and Integrations on ServiceNow.
Experienced in implementing CSDM and CMDB
Responsible for solution architecture, scalability, performance, and security aspects of ServiceNow Platform.
Practicing engineering principles, patterns, standards and guidelines across projects and programmes.
Analysing a wide range of technical data within systems and processes, to anticipate and address problems, or identify improvement opportunities and identify and mitigate issues or risks associated with design or solution proposals.
Facilitating and contribute to transitioning to target state architecture
Works closely with the ServiceNow Leadership team to align and prioritize tasks, review operational metrics related to the ServiceNow platform with the business and key stakeholders and actively involved in the overarching platform governance.
Experienced in ITIL framework, DevSecOps and SRE principles.
Tech skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these, or a willing to learn these skillsets, (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team!

3-6 years’ experience in ServiceNow IRM and integrations implementations (mandatory)
Lead and own ServiceNow technical designs
Experience and knowledge of SDLC including Release Management, Deployment across complex Environments, ITIL, Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, Linux, GCP), CI/CD pipeline, automation, testing, scripting, networking and related technologies.
Complete understanding in Web Technology (XML, JavaScript, HTML, Web Services - REST/SOAP, AngularJS, etc.), full stack design, development, and administration experience
ServiceNow Certifications (Desired):
Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Certified Application Developer (CAD)
ITSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
CSM Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
Core Platform micro-certifications (Mobile, Performance Analytics, UI Builder, ATF, Integration Hub, Virtual Agent, NLU, Flow Designer, Service Portal, CSDM)
Certified Technical Architect (Preferred)
Additional skills:
Strong understanding of GRC Principles and Frameworks like CPS 230
Ability to implement IRM Processes on a ServiceNow Platform including Policy and Compliance Management, Vulnerability Management, Advanced Risk Assessment
Strong technical experience in integrating with External Systems – via REST API’s, Kafka Event Streams and other Integration technologies.
Design and develop enhancements for the existing GRC and help fix issues or defects which arise in the production environment.
Proven experience with IRM implementation for Financial Services Organizations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
