Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 470 people with an additional 1,600 contractors working on our assets.
AGIG is leading the way for the Australian renewable gas sector, and are committed to sustainable gas delivery today, and tomorrow. Our low carbon vision, targets 10% renewable gas in our distribution networks by no later than 2030, with full decarbonisation of our networks by 2040 as a stretch target and by no later than 2050.
About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and driven individual as The Stakeholder Engagement Lead. This is a pivotal role focusing on designing and delivering best practice and innovative engagement plans – ensuring that Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) delivers in the long-term interests of our stakeholder and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and lead Stakeholder Engagement plans and activities aligned to business planning process
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of stakeholder activities for AGIG’s renewable gas projects supporting other business units across AGIG
- Build relationships with key stakeholders
- Build and promote AGIG’s stakeholder network
- Provide support to the development and delivery of AGIG’s BAU engagement program as we deliver innovative products to customers
- Contribute to the development of external strategic communications, such as events, industry presentations and Annual Reviews
- Assist with business’ internal communications via presentations, newsletters and Board Papers
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in related industry i.e. Communications, Media
- Proven track record in participating in public consultation processes
- Strong relationship and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of the energy sector and an awareness of stakeholder and customer views and perceptions.
- Design skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience using digital communications and/or online engagement platforms (e.g. website content management, online surveys etc.)
