About Us:Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) was established on 1 July 2022 and comprises the independent Victorian Liquor Commission and staff from the Department of Justice and Community Safety. LCV is responsible for issuing liquor licences and overseeing industry compliance and enforcement to ensure that Victorians and visitors to the state enjoy safe and responsible liquor licensed environments.This is an exciting time to join LCV and to be part of something new and growing. We are strengthening our focus on harm minimisation and assessment of community impacts as part of our regulatory approach following major reforms to liquor licencing laws that commenced in 2022.
About the Role:The
Stakeholder Engagement Officer, Education and Training will assist in the delivery of the
Stakeholder Engagement Plan, which aims to ensure LCV engages with the stakeholders at the appropriate intervals and on the required projects. This means an annual events plan is established ahead of time and communicated to all of LCV. This is facilitated by an established process for tracking
Stakeholder Engagement.We are looking for someone with strong skills in verbal and written communication. This role is based in North Richmond.Your day will be filled with a variety of tasks, including (but not limited to):
- Researching, writing and reviewing content for the liquor industry delivered through various communication channels (direct electronic messaging, social media, stakeholder newsletters etc.).
- Planning and coordinating Stakeholder Engagement events.
- Planning and delivery of internal communications.
- Engaging with key industry associations to disseminate information to licensees.

About You:As an ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Experience in contributing to the development and implementation of communication campaigns and associated plans to support the effective delivery of a program of work aimed at maximising Stakeholder Engagement and behaviour change.
- Experience in delivery of messaging through various social media platforms.
- Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite to develop communications products and resources.
- An understanding, or demonstrated capacity to quickly acquire an understanding, of the liquor industry including the regulatory frameworks together with a sound appreciation of the government's social and economic objectives, in particular harm minimisation.
You are someone who:- Is creative and flexible with your communication style and can tailor this to suit a wide range of audiences - both written and verbal.
- Is hard-working and enjoys a challenge.
- Enjoys writing engaging content to spread information across different channels and social media.
- Is well organised.
Qualifications:- A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, education or a related field, and/or equivalent experience is desirable.
