The role
Working in a team of engagement specialists, you will develop and embed effective stakeholder engagement plans in infrastructure projects to ensure consistency and quality of stakeholder interactions and relationships.
Responsibilities will include:
- Acting as key advisor on several water infrastructure initiatives at any one time, providing strategic and tactical support as part of project teams
- Identifying and escalating emerging opportunities, issues, roadblocks and risks to Sunwater achieving its strategic objective of being a stakeholder-centric organisation
- Developing project specific stakeholder management plans and targeted communication and engagement action plans for use across all phases of the project lifecycle from pipeline to execution
- Collaborating across functions to deliver stakeholder engagement activities and processes
- Producing clear and effective communication materials for a range of stakeholders
- Researching and preparing responses to stakeholder and community inquiries.
Please note that due to the nature of this role, there will be ad hoc travel to Sunwater regional facilities (usually 1 – 2 nights per month).
About you
You will have proven experience in a similar role with the ability to develop and execute impactful stakeholder engagement and communication strategies. Holding tertiary qualifications in communication, public relations or a related discipline, you will also have the ability to produce high quality written and oral communication for a range of audiences.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience delivering timely and well considered advice to peers and managers
- Experience facilitating workshops and community meetings.
- Experience working within a Stakeholder Relationship Management system
- Experience working in regional communities within the infrastructure or resource sector (desirable)
