Reporting to the National Sales Manager in Adelaide, the Perth based State Account Manager will oversee all sales activities within the state including State Based Accounts, the management of two Sales Representatives and all sales reporting. You will provide exceptional service to existing and new customers including the range of WA based Supermarket, Specialty and Distributor Accounts, along with store-based servicing and selling. Specifically, you will;
- Account Manage the Head Office relationships with the Independent Supermarket Groups within the IGA & Farmer Jack’s networks, Distributors and Speciality Groups.
- Drive new business growth, presenting new lines and responding effectively to Customer ranging requests.
- Prepare and manage the annual budget process including establishing and achieving State sales targets and effective management of Trading Terms.
- Manage the Quarterly Business Plan process with Customers and effective submission and management of promotional activity.
- Lead and manage two experienced in-field Sales Representatives and ensure effective territory management.
- Provide some direct field sales, particularly to ensure effective in-store execution of Head Office Account activity.
- Field sales relief of Sales Representatives when on annual leave.
- Preparation and management of Sales Collateral including presenters and new line material along with some sales administration work.
- Ensure effective sales reporting and stakeholder engagement with the National Sales Manager, Chief Executive Officer and Owner/Director.
- Provide the National Sales Manager some National Account Sales Support from time to time.
Knowledge & Experience:
This role requires an experienced State Account Manager with a strong network of contacts, a proven track record of Account Management and excellent reputation. Specifically, to excel in this role you will require;
- Strong relationships within the trade, particularly Head Office Independent Groups & Store owners including IGA’s, Farmer Jack’s and ideally Distributors, Specialty Groups and other State Based Account Based Groups.
- Outstanding Sales management capability, able to service existing business to the highest levels along with strong new business development skills to attain considerable new business.
- Inspiring leadership and excellent sales management capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Professional appearance and can-do attitude.
- Proficient with sales technology and reporting.
