The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity to assume a leadership position with Australia's largest livestock Contractor. You will be responsible for the overall management in selling centres across Western Victoria, maintaining industry relationships, and supporting senior team members. This role requires a solid understanding of livestock and saleyard procedures, proficiency in technology, effective communication skills, and a commitment to problem-solving.
Responsibilities include:
- Sale Management: Manage livestock sales, implement advanced technology, and effectively communicate with teams and clients, ensuring seamless operations.
- Team Leadership: Lead and collaborate within a dynamic team, focusing on training, productivity improvement, and maintaining high morale while demonstrating leadership skills to manage multiple teams.
- Client Satisfaction and Business Support: Present a professional image, ensuring courteous interactions with clients, implementing work procedures for improved customer experience, and supporting business operations by travelling to other selling centres to gain insights and taking on increased responsibilities.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualities:
- Prior exposure to Livestock or Agriculture industries desirable
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Knowledge of saleyards and their related processes
- Willingness to learn processes, software and technology.
- Organised and proficient in time management
- Strong problem solver with a can do-attitude.
