Our Labour Hire division continues to experience significant growth. We employ over 4,000 on-hire employees, including 3,000 recruited from the Pacific region each year under the Australian Government’s Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme . Our on-hire workforce is predominantly placed within the horticulture, fish, meat, cleaning and hospitality industries.
We have a need to recruit strong leaders to provide management support and direction to our teams in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania, and as such we are flexible with location of the role. The position may be based in an existing office, or be home based (depending on location). We are also flexible on the state coverage, it may be multi or single state responsibility – again, this will depend on the person, their location, and their requisite skill and experience.
The role
This is an exciting role that will suit someone who thinks outside the square and thrives in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. You will be responsible for the:
- Seeking out business opportunities to grow our Labour Hire footprint;
- Provision of leadership and direction to a team to ensure Labour Hire assignments are managed effectively;
- Delivery of end to end recruitment processes that are transparent, informed, and compliant with MADEC processes and statutory requirements;
- Ongoing review of services delivered by the team and implementation of appropriate process improvements with key clients;
- Ensuring client and worker relationships are maintained to the highest degree;
- Managing the effective relationship with third parties including trade union, and governing bodies; and
- Reporting on key performance metrics to internal stakeholders.
About you
You are commercially astute having honed your skills in a general business management role or customer centric role. You will work with a diverse range of clients focusing on service excellence to meet their expectations while observing best practice and regulatory principles. You will be able to efficiently problem solve, drive outcomes and be resilient in what can be considered a competitive and challenging industry. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will be of a high level while working independently and exercising initiative.
Internally you will be supported by a dedicated Finance, Human Resources, Safety and Compliance team who you will liaise with regularly.
Travel will be required to perform the role.

The base remuneration for this role commences from between $85-$100,000 (dependant on scope), plus superannuation and a fully maintained company vehicle is provided, as are the tools to do your job (phone, computer, ipad).
