We are extremely proud to be partnering with one of Australia’s most dedicated and purpose driven charitable and not-for-profit organisations for the recruitment of State Marketing Manager – Retail.
 
This role is based in South Brisbane and reports directly to the Head of Marketing and Fundraising.
 
The Role:
 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Marketing Manager to lead the Queensland-wide, game changing retail program. This is the opportunity to elevate your career with a dynamic and compassionate organisation dedicated to serving the community with love, respect, and hope!
 
This role leads the multi-disciplinary retail program to deliver on the strategy, project management that are in the pipeline such as eCommerce and Loyalty Program, and high level tactical implementation of the retail marketing campaigns that will ignite hearts and drive positive change.

More specifically, the responsibilities cover the following key accountabilities:

  • Lead the retail and operations team stakeholders to develop their annual strategic and operational plans, including tactical priorities, financial and non-financial KPIs and expense budgets to achieve strategic priorities within the retail marketing portfolio. There are currently 8 retail managers who each manage a cluster of retail stores in a designated territory.
  • Your innovative mind will manage the development of project and marketing plans for the retail campaigns. Rallying an inspiring team of staff, volunteers, and suppliers. You’ll ensure smooth implementation, continuous evaluation, and adherence to deadlines, optimising performance and service delivery.
  • Work closely with the global leading agency VMLY&R on major campaigns and other design agencies throughout the year.
  • Be a catalyst for progress by providing invaluable guidance to the GM of Fundraising, Marketing and Communication, and Head of Marketing and Fundraising. Together, you’ll create game-changing one-three-year retail marketing program strategic plans, taking the outputs to new heights.
  • Thriving on the cutting edge, you’ll keep the organisation ahead of the curve by staying updated on trends within the retail marketing sector, reviewing competitor activity, and undertaking professional development to keep their mission soaring.
  • Passionate about excellence, you’ll ensure all marketing and communications across the internal and external channels align with brand guidelines, presenting a powerful and consistent message that resonates with hearts far and wide.
  • Inspire the retail marketing committee working group with your guidance and leadership. Together, you’ll maintain best practices and set the gold standard for our industry.
The ideal candidate:
 
A candidate who will be excited to be part of the business. A great creative mind in design and content. Someone who loves retail and doing good for the community. Additionally:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a marketing, advertising or communication discipline.
  • 5+ years working experience as a marketer within a retail environment.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Advanced time management skills including the ability to multi-task.
  • Be analytical and have attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Must be a team player capable of working both independently and within a team.
  • Strong and demonstrated stakeholder management experience.
  • Be an influencer of change.
  • Must be a great communicator and a lateral thinker (ability to see 2 steps ahead).
  • Be accountable and follow through with what you promise.
  • Have a collaborative and systematic approach to daily tasks.
  • Have full working rights in Australia.
