A global manufacturer of packaging machinery with a strong foothold in the food manufacturing market. They have been established for over 50 years and employ over 5,000 people globally. Their equipment can be found in the largest food manufacturing factories across Australia and the globe.
The Role
With a recent internal promotion, the State Service Manager position is now open. The responsibilities of this role include leading a team of Service Technicians and Supervisors in Sydney. The position entails a combination of team management, maintain high service standards, and Account Management with current customers. The primary focus is enhancing customer satisfaction, driving business growth, and upholding the reputation of the company.
Responsibilities
- Supervise service staff and operations in the assigned region to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Collaborate with the NSW State Manager to foster a positive workplace culture and achieve group objectives, aligning with the General Manager of Service to meet targets.
- Communicate regularly with clients to address field issues promptly and collaborate with various teams for timely installations.
- Establish relationships with OEMs and oversee Quality Inspections within the region.
- Promote Preventative Maintenance Agreements, facilitate staff training, and consistently meet KPIs.
- Manage local workshop, spare parts inventory, and support the broader group in delivering exceptional service.
Skills and Experience
- Extensive technical expertise in service and spare parts, coupled with leadership experience.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across various levels.
- Commercially astute with a sharp focus on customer satisfaction
- Proficient in reporting, documentation, and use of tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SAP systems.
- Full driver's license.
- Availability to travel to customer sites across Sydney and regional NSW at times.
