About our Team:
As the Station Assistant you will join a team of up to seven to provide exceptional customer service and general cleaning duties at the Townsville train station.
Some of the duties will include:
• Providing exceptional customer service including handling of customer luggage
Provisioning and deprovisioning of food and supplies on the trains
Operating station machinery and equipment
General cleaning and maintenance duties of the station and bathroom facilities
Reporting any safety concerns to the onsite supervisor

Hours:
This is a permanent full-time position which generally works between the hours of 0630 and 1630. The roster will consist of a variety of start and finish times as well as weekends and public holidays. You can expect a confirmed roster one week out for the following week, so flexibility to work a variety of different shifts is required in this position.

About you:
• The ability to work autonomously but also within a team environment
Exceptional communication skills coupled with a customer focused attitude to ensure a positive experience for our customers
Strong work ethic and willingness to go the ‘extra mile’
A safety conscious attitude
Ability to undertake a variety of manual handling tasks including cleaning and lifting of heavy luggage up to 20 kilograms
Previous cleaning experience or a ‘C’ class drivers licence is desirable but not essential
Be prepared to travel within your position when required (e.g. Brisbane and Rockhampton for training)
