The Role
An opportunity is available for several Station Hands with a focus on a large-scale sheep and cropping operation on Kangaroo Island, SA.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, the positions will ideally suit self-motivated individuals looking to become part of a dynamic team, with the aim to provide an increasing level of responsibility over time for the right person.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Experience in monitoring livestock, including animal health, ensuring adequacy of feed & water, and implementing stock movements.
- Experience in safe farm maintenance, mechanical applications, and operation of farm machinery/equipment.
- Liaise with contractors, such as shearers and spraying contractors.
- Sound understanding of farm safety.
- Ability to work autonomously to complete planned tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
- Strong knowledge of animal welfare standards and documentation.

- Excellent communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
- Solid work ethic and attention to detail
- Show initiative, responsibility and have a positive attitude to work.
- Be physically fit and able to fulfill all requirements of the role.
- Working stock dogs is essential.
- Hold current drivers’ license.
