The ACEREZ consortium, which includes the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), has been appointed Preferred Proponent to design and construct the transmission line infrastructure for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), as part of Australia’s energy transition, outlined in the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state’s newly legislated Net Zero targets.
Job Description:
Join our esteemed team as a Statutory Accountant for the Central West Orana project. You'll play a crucial role in delivering quality accounting, reporting, and financial support, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly accounts and management reports, ensuring compliance with statutory standards.
- Assist in explaining accounts and addressing stakeholder queries.
- Support the Finance Director during year-end audits to ensure statutory compliance.
- Generate monthly management reports, including KPIs and variance analysis.
- Maintain detailed records of operational costs and manage general ledgers.
- Ensure compliance with project and joint venture contracts and agreements.
- Track joint venture costs, funding notices, and reconcile financial data.
- Execute online banking transactions and administer bank accounts.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and maintain Fixed Assets Registers.
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist in tax compliance.
- Maintain intercompany loan schedules and adhere to statutory regulations.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or project accounting.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- Certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
