Statutory Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to:

• Undertake the statutory roles and responsibilities of Statutory Mechanical Engineer.
• Develop and review the standards, Mechanical Engineering practice and procedures for the life cycle of mechanical plant and installations at the mine, and supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of mechanical plant at the mine.
• Ensure safety and legislative compliance.

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

• You must hold the relevant certificate of competence to practise the function of a Mechanical Engineer under the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) legislation in NSW
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Mechanical Engineering management role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, best practice industry standards and risk management.
• Strong safety focus, high standards and engineering competence.
• Persons that have a practical, team based background and progressed their career to management level will be highly regarded.
• SAP system familiarity preferred
