Established almost 30 years ago, this Canberra based business which now has over 30,000 customers, has achieved constant and sustainable growth. It is now operating throughout Australia through a mix of franchises and company owned entities and is a genuine leader in its field.
The Role
Due to this ongoing growth, the position of Chief Operating Officer has been created to support the CEO by taking responsibility for the financial, operational and administrative functions and teams (circa 10 staff) of the company. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Budgets, forecasts and management reporting as well as Board reporting
- Provision of advice on business strategy and implementation to the CEO
- Developing business plans and driving performance of the franchisees and company owned operations
- Building and maintain strong relationships with franchisees including training and performance management
- Management of the systems, policies and procedures ensuring they remain contemporary and best practice.
About You
With a strong background in accounting and finance including the relevant qualifications (CA/CPA desirable), you will bring strong commercial/business acumen to the team. You will also have experience in managing and/or working closely with the broader aspects of a business.
You will be comfortable managing a broad financial, operational and administrative team and be able to quickly gain the respect and trust of the team as well as working on a hands-on basis with a positive can-do attitude, leading by example.
You will bring to the organisation demonstrated success and achievement as well as a sense of responsibility and a strong positive attitude.
You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Your Benefits
An attractive salary in the range of $150-180,000 plus super is on offer for this position. You will also have the opportunity to genuinely contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the company that has a very strong positive and fun culture.
Whilst the position is nominally full-time, there is some genuine workplace flexibility with part-time (5 days school hours) being possible once you have established yourself in the organisation.
