Stem Tutor – Coding Club

Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney’s North Shore. Ravenswood offers both the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme as well as the PYP in the Junior School. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic STEM tutor to join our co-curricular team on a casual basis. Our STEM tutors work at a variety of levels, providing instruction in the development of skills in a group setting. 

The Coding Club tutor role will deliver a Coding program to a group of Junior school students utilizing various web-based interfaces.

To secure this role, the successful applicant will have:

• Experience with planning and delivering an engaging program to groups of students in a Junior School setting, Years 3 – 6,
• Experience working with students in Years 3 – 6,
• Excellent knowledge of STEM concepts,
• Experience with or willingness to engage with accessible technology suitable for various student age groups,
• Ability to design a relevant program for students, and
• Outstanding communications skills and the ability to make STEM exciting.
