An industry leader in Shepparton is currently on the hunt for a Stock Controller to join their busy business. If you have a keen eye for detail, high level administration skills and the ability to effectively communicate with external and internal stakeholders, then this job might be for you!
As a Stock Controller for our client, you will be working with a number of different entities and brands within the automotive industry. You will ensure and uphold accurate and precise completion of the Stock Controller duties all whilst upholding the customers' values at the highest of priorities. The role will challenge you and your ability to effectively manage your time, handle difficult situations surrounding timelines and scheduling, as well as provide you with fantastic business insight and the ability to collaborate with most teams within the organisation, giving you fantastic exposure to business and its dealings. The below is an outline of your duties and responsibilities.
Inventory Management:
As a Stock Controller, you'll oversee the inventory of all automotive products within the business. Your responsibilities include tracking stock levels, ensuring vehicles are properly categorised, and managing any discrepancies.
Regularly update the stock database to reflect accurate information about each vehicle, including make, model, year, colour, and VIN etc.
Stock Reconciliation:
Conduct routine stock reconciliations to verify that the physical stock matches the records in our system.
Investigate any discrepancies and take corrective action promptly.
Vehicle Movement:
Coordinate the movement of vehicles within the dealership premises as well as outside the organisation.
Ensure that vehicles are positioned appropriately for display, test drives, and service.
Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records of stock transactions, including arrivals, sales, and transfers.
Update vehicle details promptly, especially when new stock arrives or existing vehicles are sold.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the sales team to ensure accurate stock availability information.
Collaborate with the service department to manage vehicles awaiting repairs or maintenance.
Quality Control:
Inspect vehicles for any damage, scratches, or defects.
Report any issues to the relevant teams for resolution.
Reporting and Audits:
Generate regular stock reports for management.
Assist in stock audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Attention to detail is crucial. You'll be responsible for maintaining an accurate stock record.
Organisational skills are essential to managing stock efficiently.
Basic automotive knowledge helps you understand vehicle specifications and features.
Effective communication with colleagues and customers is necessary.
Proficiency in using stock management software is advantageous.
