In this role you will be the Product and Process SimplificationStream Lead for the Cards Modernisation Program, leading squads sitting in the Consumer Finance Credit Card Crew, but the influence and scope of your work will extend to all Cards domains. The Cards Modernisation Program is a multiyear initiative that looks to build a group wide capability leveraging cloud, rationalising multiple Card platforms, enabling personalisation, resilience and productivity.

The Credit Cards Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank Credit Cards business. We consist of squads that look after the development of the Credit Card products, acquisition, the growth of our portfolio, our loyalty program, end-to-end process improvement and Cards modernisation.

Leading the Product and Process Simplification Squads, this Stream Lead role is pivotal to the success of Cards Modernisation Program. You will report to the Crew Lead for Credit Cards, who will support you with your performance and development. You will play a critical role in driving our Product and Process Simplification roadmap across all Card domains including, Credit, BNPL, Debit, Corporate and Prepaid, leading the squads to deliver exceptional customer experiences. This is a fundamental and impactful role in the team responsible for one of the biggest Credit Card portfolios in Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Review and revamp our product constructs and configuration, rules and Processes. Reduce risk for migration and enable a safe and resilient future
- Develop a migration roadmap, balance migration timing and foundational build.
- Deliver uplift to products and services using new capabilities and data.
- Business Process Simplification and automation across the value chain.
- Work with the Digital team to streamline and provide exceptional customer experiences
- Work closely with cross functional teams, including finance, marketing, compliance, technology and distribution to ensure seamless delivery.
- Ensure that Card products comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for proactively managing risks, defining products and Processes that are compliant by design.
We want to hear from you if you have
- Ability to drive outcomes and execute on a roadmap of initiatives, progressing multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Advanced communication, strong stakeholder engagement and management capabilities. Success in the role requires the ability to lead and influence without direct authority.
- Have strong experience in product delivery and/or product management.
- Experience in delivering strong outcomes in an Agile environment.
- Ability to think analytically and use data and insights to make decisions.
- Strong Cards product knowledge is required.
- Tertiary qualification in a Business / Commerce Degree Preferred
