Our team builds customer facing features for some of the most highly visited media websites and OTT streaming services in Australia, as well as the content management systems and services.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and supporting services that scale to large audiences, via multiple tools & dashboards to ensure desired quality is delivered to our customers.
- Monitor and support Live & VOD Streaming Output and Delivery on a 24/7 basis.
- Real-time end-to-end monitoring of content delivery platforms (OTT infrastructure, video streaming services, content delivery platform components and end-user device platforms).
- Execute routine quality checks by conducting playback checks of all Live & VOD streams across multiple devices/apps and validate to ensure QOS/QOE standards are met.
- Action routine tasks (Daily Streaming Reports, BAU admin tasks and shift handovers).
- Work with the internal development and solution teams to identify performance issues and improve delivery and customer experience.
- Initiate incident management process (aligned with the ITIL best practice framework) ensuring timely identification, logging, categorisation, prioritisation and resolutions of incidents.
- Actively engage in proactive monitoring with heightened support requirements during Gold and Tentpole events.
You will be working in a 24/7 on-call team to guarantee the best user experience, eventually working as required during gold events like State of Origin and the Olympics.
This role will involve rostered 7-day shift on-call duty to manage eventual incidents with appropriate shift loading allowances paid.
