Structural Draftsperson

DEQ Consulting Engineers is a long-established consultancy of Civil, Structural and Geotechnical engineers based in Milton.  Due to an increased workload and company expansion, we require the services of an experienced Structural Draftsperson for our structural section. 

The permanent full time position involves a wide variety of interesting work on residential, commercial, institutional and light industrial projects.  Previous experience with framing, bracing and tie down to AS1684 is essential.  Footing & slab design experience to AS2870 would be an advantage.

Duties of this role will include:

• Structural design and AutoCad drafting on a wide range of residential, commercial, institutional and light industrial projects.
• Liaise with clients and builders.
• Liaise with managers, engineers and other drafters to ensure accuracy of design drawings.

The successful applicant is expected to have the following skills and attributes.

• Excellent English - both written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Attend to all tasks in a reliable and punctual manner.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Other duties as directed.
• A minimum 3 years experience in similar role.
• Competent in the use of AutoCad. Revit design experience would be an advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• A valid Australian Drivers Licence.
• A valid Construction White Card.
• Australian Citizenship/Permanent residency is essential.
