Rincovitch is looking to hire a Structural Engineer based in-office located off St Kilda Road, just out of the Melbourne CBD. This role would suit a self-motivated and enthusiastic Structural Engineer who is looking to take on more responsibility and keen to deliver great work. The role is hands on with all aspects of design, site observations and maintaining client relationships.
About the Position
- Structural engineering from design to delivery.
- Structural analysis and design of various reinforced concrete, steel, and timber structures with limited supervision.
- Provide design sketches to the draftee and follow up on finalizing the drawings to be ready for submittal.
- Communicate and regularly liaise with clients in through weekly progress meetings.
- Be able to attend meetings with the client and answer the technical enquiries.
- Become thoroughly familiar with codes, standards and legislative requirement and delivery of successful technical solutions to staff, managers and clients.
Preferred Selection Criteria
- Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in Structural Engineering
- Ability to contribute to the development of new ideas, techniques and standards.
- Ability to make & prepare calculations.
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to effectively balance multiple priorities, coordinating work with engineering disciplines and specialty consultants, independently as well as collaboratively.
- Good attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills - speaking, writing, listening including client presentation skills.
- ETABS, slab design and post-tensioning knowledge will be an advantage.
