Structural Steel Workshop Checker
We are a reputable steel fabrication and installation company seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Steel Workshop Checker to join our team. As a Workshop Checker, you will be responsible for ensuring that all steel components produced in our workshop meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Check all steel components produced in the workshop to ensure that they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Perform visual inspections and use measuring tools, such as tape measures to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Ensure that all workshop activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure that components are fabricated to the required standard.
- Communicate any quality issues to the workshop foreman and work collaboratively to resolve them.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and test results.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve workshop quality and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Structural Steel Workshop Checker or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and welding techniques.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
