In this role, you'll:
An experienced Structures Coordinator within our Network Maintenance team, you would report to the Team Manager Civil.
You will be responsible for leading and undertaking the scheduling, reporting and coordination of resources to carry out all types of inspections and maintenance of bridges, culverts and other structures within the City South region, in conjunction with current standards and technical maintenance plans.
Responsible for inspection sign off and conducting incident investigations.
What you will be involved in
- Coordinating the maintenance of bridge assets, culvert and structure assets
- Management of contractual crews and working closely with Engineers to ensure correct standards are adhered to
- Supervision of bridge examiners and supporting staff

About you
You will be competent in TLIB3098A Examine Concrete Masonry Structures and TLIB3088A Examine Steel Structures and ideally be trained in confined spaces (or to be obtained both within 6 months of appointment).
You will have extensive experience in structures maintenance activities, such as structures examination, structural repair work and reporting coupled with sound working knowledge of standards and equipment applicable to structures maintenance and inspections.
Our ideal candidate will also have a level of experience in supervision of staff/contractors and be proficient in the use of SAP.
Safe working is number 1 priority for Sydney Trains; you will hold a current safe working qualification as a PO2 or higher (or be willing to obtain within 12 months of appointment).
