About This Opportunity 

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Student Experience Coordinatorto join the dedicated Student Experience team within our Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences (HaBS).

As the Student Experience Coordinator, you will undertake the planning and implementation of initiatives in the Faculty that enhance the Student Experience and provide opportunities for students to engage more broadly beyond their program of study.

This role is ideal for those with a passion for enriching the Student Experience and enhancing student engagement. If you enjoy making meaningful connections across different cohorts of students, being creative and thinking outside the box, this role is for you! Those with events management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboratively develop processes and guidelines for engagement with identified student cohorts in the Faculty.

  • Plan and implement student engagement activities for identified cohorts that address gaps within the Faculty.

  • Implement recruitment processes for student participation in engagement activities scaled across the Faculty.

  • Assist in the development and coordination of peer mentoring, volunteer, and leadership initiatives in collaboration with the relevant Faculty and School Staff.

  • Ensure uptake of, and provide support for, enterprise systems such as Chronus and Student Hub across all schools within the Faculty.

  • Coordinate orientation events for commencing students.

  • Plan and implement events to promote student engagement activities across the Faculty.

  • Monitor and report on student engagement activities across the Faculty.

  • Participate in relevant committees, as identified by the Associate Dean (Academic).

This is a full-time (100%), fixed-term position through to 29 November 2024.

At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $88,099 - $94,512, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be up to $103,076 - $110,579 annually. As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases – at least once a year.

About You  

  • Completion of a relevant undergraduate degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.

  • Proven analytical, planning, organisational and project management skills.

  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgement, and to work independently.

  • Proven high level written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to compile information and write reports for a variety of audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to communicate and develop and sustain effective working relationships with a diverse range of project stakeholders.

  • High level of computer literacy, including ability to extract and manipulate data and information using multiple databases and software packages.

  • Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team to achieve identified goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet competing deadlines.
