The Faculty of Arts, Sciences, Law and Business comprises two vibrant schools; the School of Arts & Sciences, and the School of Law & Business. We are also home to the Nulungu Research Institute, a unique multi-disciplinary centre located in the Kimberley region. ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Student Experience Manager, you will drive Student Experience initiatives, support development of Work Integrated Learning across the schools including partnerships with external entities, and support the development and coordination of overseas and domestic immersions for students.

This role will report to the Faculty Manager and work closely with the Faculty Executive, including the Executive Dean and National Heads of School, with a collective aim to grow and foster Student Experience across the Faculty.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the Faculty’s Student Experience plan aligned to the University and Faculty strategic plans and to Program curriculum, in consultation with Faculty leadership.
  • Oversee the operational coordination of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) within the Faculty consultation with key stakeholders across the Faculty and University.
  • Create, implement, and review school and faculty activities to enhance Student Experience, including industry and employer engagement opportunities.
  • Undertake metrics, feedback and review processes related to Student Experience and WIL and provide regular reports, proposals, and recommendations to key stakeholders for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of University policy, procedure, and guidelines, and to organisational reporting relating to Student Experience.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with staff involved in WIL, overseas immersions, and student events and oversee budget for Faculty events.
  • Initiate, foster and grow professional relationships and networks within the University community and with national and international stakeholders, professional and community organisations and clients.
  • Support the Schools in nurturing and developing industry connections to strengthen WIL opportunities and identify partnerships.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with University policy and requirements of relevant bodies in collaboration with relevant staff and act as the Faculty’s point of contact for students, creating a supportive and engaged community between staff and students.

About You

Qualifications & Experience

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in the development and review of contracts, reports, and proposals.

Knowledge, skills & abilities

  • Demonstrated excellent negotiation, tactical thinking, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience with delivering events and programs that improve Student Experience and build a sense of belonging and strong skills in project management and the ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of key legislation, policies, procedures, and best practice relevant to work integrated learning and Student Experience
  • Proven high level stakeholder management skills and the ability to interact effectively across diverse professional spheres including academic, administrative, clinical, public, and corporate sectors
  • Proficient in conducting financial, market, and industry analysis to inform business development strategies
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office and the ability to learn and implement new systems
  • Practical knowledge of SONIA or an equivalent student placement software
