Working under general direction and with the support of the Student Experience Coordinator, this is a fantastic opportunity to assist the the University's Student Experience in assisting with day to day administration tasks, which involves communicating with host families, students and other relevant stakeholders. You will utilise your strong administration skills to provide customer-centric support with homestay enquiries, the English Language Centre (ELC) Connections Program, records management and administration, program orientations and events.
The University of Adelaide English Language Centre (ELC) offers a range of general, specialised and academic English language programs and English teacher training services (TESOL) to the international and local market. The English language program offerings include packaged pathway, short term programs and post entry Academic English skills offerings. The ELC works closely with schools, faculties, external partners to support the University’s strategic and commercial goals.
To be successful you will need:
- A high level of customer service skills with demonstrated Experience Supporting a front desk responding to requests for assistance within an accommodation setting.
- Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated problem solving capability and a high level of organizational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workload.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills including both written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in continually improving administrative practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated competency in using Microsoft Office suite.
- Ideally hold a Diploma and or Certificate in Business or Hospitality Management.
Desirable:
- Experience of University software program, PeopleSoft and EPro will be highly regarded.
