About the Role

Located at our Tomaree campus, The Student Learning Support Officer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, evaluation of program delivery and includes involvement in working with student needs either in a one on one, small group or whole class situation.

In this full time role, successful applicants should be able to confidently:

• Identify and trial alternative learning strategies and methods of delivery that suit the educational needs to identified students.
• Demonstrate ability to create or use a range of educational resources to provide identified students with a variety of learning experiences which meet the needs of students.
• Report on student progress as and when required.
• Deliver learning or educational assessments as required.
• Design and deliver components of the vocational or social program as determined by the Head of Campus
• Act in a sensitive manner to the students’ needs upholding a non-violence, no harassment policy.
• Ensure that every student is given a fair chance and choice in all opportunities.
• Maintain client & staff confidentiality, while following appropriate procedures for notifying other staff where required by Atwea College Policy or legislation.
• Participate in and contribute to the activities, school excursions and fundraising activities of the school.
• Attend meetings and training as required.

• Certificate III in Education Support

Atwea College requires:

• Valid NSW Working With Children Check and current National Criminal Police Record Check prior to the commencement of employment.
• Child Protection Training, or willingness to obtain.
• Drivers Licence.
