About your role:
Are you looking to volunteer or complete Student Placement in the booming disability sector? Gain valuable real life experience and skills to kick-start a career in the fast-growing and highly rewarding sector. As a volunteer/student, you will be buddied up with a Job Coach based at Makeables Rocklea site.
Our Makeables warehouse offers a unique social enterprise experience working with a diverse team of volunteers and assisted employees in a fun, rewarding team environment. As the name suggests, Makeables adds value to businesses with anything ‘makeable’ such as assembly, packing and finishing. Our employees perform a range of tasks including industrial assembly and pallet production, labelling, screen printing, boxing and packaging for a variety of businesses.
About you
- Currently studying a Cert III in Individual Support or similar
- Ability to follow directions and work as an individual or as part of a team
- Social, friendly and easy going - great people skills is a must
- Compassionate nature

You will have the following to qualify for this role
- Hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children)
- A NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities)
- Full COVID-19 vaccinations (proof from MyGov) - 2 doses
- Aged 18 years and over
- Open Driver’s Licence (or on Green P Plates)
