Role Description/Criteria
This is a full time ongoing position, to commence Term 3, 2024, or by negotiation. (A four day position FTE 0.8 would be considered).

Key Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will:
- Have a commitment to the philosophy of Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of all children.
- Have accreditation to teach in a Catholic school or a willingness to achieve accreditation to teach in a Catholic school.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of students.
- Provide leadership in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, parents, and external agencies to support students with diverse needs, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, students with disabilities, and Students with socio-emotional challenges.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualised plans to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Facilitate workshops and programs to promote positive behaviour management, conflict resolution, and social skills development.
- Liaise with external stakeholders and community organisations to access additional support services for students and families.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on matters related to Student Wellbeing and diversity.
- Maintain accurate records and data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and programs.
- Support the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) and facilitate Parent Support Group meetings (PSGs)
- Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the Child Safe Standards (Ministerial Order No. 870)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
- Bachelor's or Master degree in education.
- Additional qualifications in this field (or be currently completing qualifications), preferably a Master of Education (Student Wellbeing) or Master of Learning Intervention or similar.
- Trained in the Mental Health in Primary Schools Program, (MHiPS) or be prepared to complete the required training.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably in a leadership or support role related to Student Wellbeing and diversity.
- Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and diverse learning needs.
- Knowledge of Catholic values and commitment to fostering a faith-filled and inclusive school community.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and implement initiatives to support Student Wellbeing and diversity.
